1. Information we collect
- Account information — your name, email address, company, and password (stored hashed).
- Project content — the plans and documents you upload, and the project details you enter (name, address, square footage, notes).
- Estimates we generate — the takeoffs, pricing, proposals, and related files.
- Payment information — processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store full card numbers.
- Usage & technical data — log data such as IP address, browser, and actions taken, used to operate and secure the Service.
2. How we use your information
- To provide the Service — read your plans, generate estimates, proposals, and exports.
- To create and manage your account and process payments.
- To send transactional emails (verification, password reset, estimate-status notifications).
- To maintain security, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
3. AI processing of your plans
Uploaded plans are processed by AI models to extract quantities and generate your estimate. Your files and project data are not used to train any AI model and are not sold. Uploaded plans are retained so you and your contractor can review the source of an estimate.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers that help us run the Service — hosting, database, email delivery, payment processing (Stripe), and AI processing — under confidentiality obligations.
- Legal authorities where required by law, or to protect our rights and users’ safety.
- A successor in the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.
5. Data retention
We retain your account and project data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us; we may retain limited records where required for legal, tax, or security reasons.
6. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit and at rest and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data.
7. Cookies & local storage
We use minimal browser storage (for example, to keep you signed in). We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
